Showbusiness stars drinking bottled water

It is well-known that all bottled water is healthy, which means that it can all come down to marketing and publicity. Obtaining the services of a celebrity can transform the fortunes of bottled water brands, and the public have seen David Bowie, Jennifer Aniston, Kelly Clarkson and many more personalities who have lent their image to natural mineral water. In addition to this, famous people will always want to be associated with healthy products, and in terms of hydration there is nothing better than a drink of mineral water. Here are some examples of well-known stars who have helped to raise the profile of bottled water.

David Bowie and Vittel.

In 2003, a bottle water group was looking for a major personality for a Vittel commercial, and David Bowie was about to launch his 'Reality' album. To take advantage of this situation, The brand hired Bowie to film a commercial based around his famous track called 'Never Get Old.' He appeared in his current persona, and other 'lookalike' actors were hired to portray Bowie in other stages of his career.
The promotional film involved Bowie wandering around a house, meeting all of his old characters. Everything was tied together with the main slogan, 'Chaque jour une vie nouvelle.' This means 'A new life everyday'

Jennifer Aniston and Smartwater.

When Glacéau were looking for a celebrity star for endorsements for Smartwater, they decided to go with Friends actress Jennifer Aniston. The end result was an advert that was particularly effective in grabbing attention. Aniston has a reputation for being at the centre of malicious celebrity gossip, and so she created a video that was more self-mocking than previous efforts. Glacéau's agency produced fake CCTV footage that showed her pregnant with triplets, and she was also 'captured' during other bizarre celebrity behaviour that included organising a collection of extravagant wigs. Everything was brought together when her staff were shown filling her pool with Smartwater.

Vitamin Water Flavours.

Glacéau also produces another brand of water that has a reputation for
celebrity endorsements. Vitamin Water is available in a number of varieties, and many of these have been individually affiliated with a particular celebrity. 'Formula 50' is linked to the rap artist 50 Cent, 'Focus' is linked to American Idol star Kelly Clarkson, and 'Energy' is the favourite drink of country singer Carrie Underwood. Most recently, Ellen DeGeneres has used her role as an American Idol judge to display the importance of drinking water that is produced in her favourite form, Vitamin Water Zero.
